A proposal in front of the Department of Metropolitan Development designates a new redevelopment area plan for Martindale Brightwood.

Most of the meeting was taken up by a rezoning case for a mixed-use, affordable housing development on the near northside called Citizens Park.

A new affordable housing project has broken ground on the west side of Indianapolis. It will offer 61 units to individuals and families. The building will also offer 15 units to veterans experiencing homelessness.

More than 50 projects to improve housing and communities in Indianapolis will receive federal funds.

City leaders and community members gathered for a grand reopening ceremony at a Far Eastside apartment complex this week.

The Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority announced Thursday its selected four Indiana employers for the Anchor Employer Workforce Housing Program.

Two Indiana nonprofits received $500,000 each to build modular homes on lots considered a blight to their community.

The development at 421 N. Pennsylvania St. will include retail and office space and 213 residential apartment units.

The appointment comes after a number of investigations hit IHA last year, when federal auditors found missing documents and quality control issues in the agency.
